Day 8: 13th Dec

sunny 30 °C

After a hearty breakfast, we packed the rest of our belongings and with mixed feelings left the stunning location of Sol Inclination.
After a quick stop at St. John Spice we caught the 11:30am ferry over to Tortola. The 30 minute crossing gave us the opportunity to admire this lush island from the sea.
We spontaneously hired a jeep for half a day which allowed us to do a tour of some of the island. We decided to pay a visit to Pusser's over at Soper's Hole for some lunch due to the harbour setting.
We caught the 6:40pm flight to St. Martin and then a taxi to the Simpson Bay Resort hotel. Despite a few reservations, this hotel turned out to be an excellent choice and our 2 bedroomed apartment was very modern, clean and comfortable. We quickly freshened up and had a light meal at the resort's Italian restaurant. A live singer with a beautifully smooth voice provided the backdrop to our dinner.
Following dinner we decided to try our luck in the resort's casino using some complimentary credits given to us at dinner. After about 20 minutes we could see that lady luck was not shining on us so we headed back to the apartment.
